To all our partners in Repairing the Breaches. We are a hidden treasure; we are a veteran founder organization. Our mission statement says it all here. Let me share a personal journey with you. As a Veteran of 27 years in the United States Armed Forces, I have traversed trials, seen the caves, and found hope. I am, Mrs. Flo. It's not about the shoes; it is about the Journey. Join Me; we have a lot to talk about and discover.
Each year, as I write my thank-you letters, I love to review the accomplishments of those individuals we serve and the care and commitment of our volunteers, who are essentially Meet My Shoes extended family. Our mission statement reads, "We meet people where they are, and everyone has the privilege to become more confident to lead a more self-directed life, to participate in their community life, and to put into action personal competencies through the support of social resources." We believe in working our appointed harvest who journey through our doors. They are worked with compassion and Love, whether socked, shooed, booted, or barefooted. The need will never diminish, and your support is crucial in making a difference.
Our definition of poverty is not defined by the lack of "meat" but by the lack of necessities, second chances, and more importantly, the “Cloak of Love.” Food, as you are aware, brings about the best in people. Poverty is never-ending. But there is joy and laughter that comes with a full stomach and peace that surpasses all understanding. People can think and do when necessities and second chances are met; for this, we say Thank you.
Again, we thank everyone for your compassion in collaborating with Meet My Shoes.org, a not-for-profit organization. We believe in the power of collective action, and your involvement with us is a testament to that. By Way of conclusion, we are not on a tripod, For We here at Meet My Shoes Organization believe that the ground has been instinctively prepared for everyone. We thank you for your continued support.
